I am starting this thread because of all the posts I read on the "Back to School" Vent thread! I am teacher and a parent so I understand where everyone is coming from on both sides of the fence!!!!!
Please post any specials or deals you find in your area-most may be from stores we all have in our neighborhoods!

Hy-Vee has school supplies as one of their Hot Deals! They have boxes of 24 crayons, glue sticks, elmer's glue (liquid), and single subject note books (70 sheets) all for $.19 each. There is a limit of 5 for the note books.

I actually got quite a few things off amazon. My kids are older so need different things then most but a 24 pack of mechanical pencils was like 5 bucks. I also just got a 5 dollar off a 25 dollar purchase coupon from Staples. Since we need odd stuff not crayons, glue and paper those coupons off the entire amount help us more.

What happened to the Staples .01 cent deals this year?

I asked my local Staples manager this very question today. He said that there were small 01 cent sales earlier in the summer, but nothing large. I asked him when they will be doing the large 01 cent sale and his response is
They aren't having them this year.

I think they run the whole week but I'm not sure.
They had college ruled and wide ruled packs of paper for 1 cents each and you could get up to 5 packs a person.
