When does school start for you all??

Here the public schools start Aug 14 but dd goes to a private school that starts Aug 13.

We STILL don't have the new year calender up on the district web site, but last year it was Aug 29. End date was June 6. I'm in NW Ohio.

Aug 28th here. It's actually kind of weird - they go 3 days, then turn around and have Friday and Monday off.

Today, July 13th is my DD11 last day of school for the year. Crazy isn't it. And she goes 8-5:15pm. She does love it though. New year starts the day after Labor Day.

Here in Central Indiana my kids start August 16th(my DS 7th birthday. He is not too thrilled about going first thing on his birthday!! ). My kids don't get out until June 3rd next summer. Seems like the summer is way too short!!!

Palm Beach County FL here and we start on 8/22. Not sure when they end, but it is usually the first week if June

Teachers in my district start August 13 and kids August 15. My DD is starting kindergarten at a private school and her first day is August 16. I'm gonna be a mess that day!

We are scheduled to be done by Memorial Day unless we have more snow days to make up. We do have 2 built into the schedule, but ou never know around here!

Wow, I feel like such a late **bloomer**, my DD starts 9/6, we leave WDW late on 9/5

September 4th. That will be DD#2's first day of kindergarten, and DD#1's first day of 6th grade. They will be in the same school for one year and then never again.

Here in England the schools haven't broken up for summer holidays yet.

Schools finish on July 19th for 6 weeks and start again September 4th.

DD 4 Finishes Nursery next week and starts Reception in September.

Our state passed a law that starting this year because of "tourism" we can't start school until the 4th monday of August, so kids start the 27th and teachers the 20th. School is out May 29th. We lost alot of vacation days because of the new calendar!

September 4th for us!!!! I am so excited b/c we also have a spring break again this year in March. We will not be out again until June 6th though.

Teachers start 8/13 and kids start 8/20 in ...here in SW Florida. We're usually out the last week of May, or first couple days of June.

I'm amazed at how early US schools finish for Summer.

Our Schools have never finished until the last week of July and have always started again the first week in September.

They also break for a week the last week of October, 2 weeks for Christmas and New Year, a week at the end of February, 2 weeks at Easter (although this has changed for the next year and we have a spring break for the first 2 weeks of April instead),and a week the last week in May to co-incide with the bank holiday.

August 6th for Cherokee County Georgia. We got out 5/25. We do have a week break in Sept. and will be hitting WDW then

I believe we go back 9/5..and usually get out around the 20 of June...
I can't believe im going to have one in 1st grade and one in Kinderarten!!!

We have fewer long breaks. - Only 1 week at Christmas, 1 in April (called "Spring Break), and just a Monday-holiday in May, not a week. (We do have the week in February.)
