School starts TOMORROW!! Are we the first?

Anyone else starting tomorrow? John-Cole starts at 8a.m. tomorrow morning. He just got in bed....so do we win for the first to go back? I think hes ready.

No--Disfanatics DD went back to school Monday (Jacksonville, Fl)

Some of our schools her started back 7/17 (not the ones our kids attend), but, those schools are on a "year round" schedule.

I think Binny's kids started last week.

My kids started today. They got at school at 7:15, school starts at 7:45.

I've heard about year-round school. I honestly don't know what I would think about that.

My DD starts school Wednesday. I think this is way to early to start school. She does get out the Thursday before Memorial Day, but this is ridiculous. I'm not ready for school to start yet, I've enjoyed summer too much. (Sounds like I'm the kid).

I think some places around here started this past Monday. Kids have no summer anymore.

Schools around here never start until just before or after Labor Day. It seems as if most of the schools that open in early August are in the South. I was wondering whether your schools are air-conditioned? I thought the Southern kids got out in May because it gets so hot in June but I can't imagine August is any better than June!

The next County over started on Monday (where I used to work) The County I work in now starts tomorrow. Jennifer starts PreK!!!

DD heads to 1st grade on Aug 21. First 3 days will be half days and then start full days on the 26th. She's ready to go back. She's been out since May 22 and I think she could have gone back by July 22nd.

We start on the 15th, and both kids and I are counting down the minutes!!! LOL!

Oh, what I would give for year round school!!!!

My kids started August 1. We are on modified year round. The great thing with this schedule is we can go to WDW in October when they get a 2 week vacation after the first 9 weeks. Unfortunately, we are travelling with friends who are in different school district and have to do the summer one more year!

DD doesnt go back until Sept. 4th, so we have some summer left!

My youngest started last Thursday. She's in the "year around" school schedule. It's new this year. They still go the same 180 days, but it's spread out more. They get three, 3 week breaks during the year.

My kids started yesterday (year round,other "tracks "started on Jul 7) and their next break will be at the end of Oct to the end of Nov. (they go back the Monday before Thanksgiving just to get that Thurs and Fri off, go figure ), then the next break will be all of March, and then the will go til the end of June when the school year officially ends. Hope that give some of you curious about year round some info.
