OP - I can't believe what you are being told on this thread. This has nothing to do with the Catholic school talking about teaching their values. It is a case of a teacher allowing your child to be attacked in class, an administration allowing him to be verbally attacked on the playground as well as lecturing him because he chose to support a candidate that the vice principal didn't. These people are idiots.
I absolutely agree with this one. As an educator I believe children have the right to develop their own thoughts and opinions, which at times will be different from their parents, grandparents, schools, etc.
He defended his beliefs on Obama, and I think that is great that he was able to stand up for what he believes.
I would take my child out because I would not ever want anyone beating up and yelling at my child. That is just my opinion.
