Well our school board just announced their 2005/06 holiday schedule-messed up our Dec trip. Looks like I'll be pulling the kids out of school-trips already paid for. They start Mon Dec 26th (24th being the weekend) and don't go back until Jan 9th - I was hoping they'd do it the other way around-take the week before christmas.

Anyone else have their schedules yet? When is your March break next year?

The York Board schedule is as follows:

Labour Day Mon Sept 5 2005

Thanksgiving Day Mon Oct 10 2005

Christmas/Winter Break Dec 26 2005 to Jan 6 inclusive 2006

Mid - Winter Break Friday March 10 to Friday March 17 inclusive 2006

Good Friday Friday April 14
Easter Monday Monday April 17, 2006

Victoria Day Monday May 22, 2006

Hope this helps some of you!

Ive planned taking our Disney vacation the 1st of January. Our school board christmas holidays are from December 21st to Jan 2nd so I will also be taking my kids out of school.

The Hamilton Public School Board's March break is March 13-17th.

murcor-our boards should switch! That's the break I was hoping for and it backfired on me. Cabmom-our board is doing the same as yours.

Each year school counsils have the option to address the question of holidays. Most parents in Thames Valley were wanting to have the kids in school the closest to Christmas as possible. Christmas is busy at school with all the concerts etc and with more time after Christmas the kids can play with their things to keep them busy
