School Holidays

Well I can hardly believe that my children have gone back to school today! Where did the summer (such as it was!) go?

I don't think I have ever known a summer holiday whizz by so fast before. Could it have been the weather?

Did anyone else think the same or is it just me?

mine 2 go back next tuesday and wednesday and yes i think it has gone really quick this year,this is the first year that my eldest who is 12 has been out with his mates
i'll explain a little when he was in primary school he never really played out and i was happy with that because i always new where he was but as he went on the secondary he made new friends and then started to go out with them on saturdays(which took a little getting used to i must say)then it went on to the holidays and before i knew he has been out every day and i have been worried sick about him all holidays(i know i need to let go )
i remember when they broke up from school in july that we have 11 weeks untill we go away and now we have just 5 weeks but saying 38 days is even better

As a teacher I can say that yes it has gone very fast!! But they always do!!!

I can't believe how quick these past 7 weeks have gone by. My youngest DD starts secondary school on Tuesday (just for year 7) and madmouse91 DD goes back on Wednesday. We were very luck that we had two great sunny weeks in the New Forest and came back at the beginning of the awful weather. Lets hope we have a nice Autumn, and I can't wait for all the Christmas cards and stuff to come into the shops (I know, I'm sad !!)

well as an LSA i went back to school yesterday!!
I also think that the 6 weeks went very quickly as well!!
