When do they jump up?

If the schools last day is a Friday, will all flights on the Saturday be instantly double? Even if that's your return flight?

We are planning on flying hom the Thursday before schools break up, when I checked rates they were OK. If we extended to the Tuesday or Wednesday (so would be flying home during the holidays) would we be paying the school holiday rates?

Flight prices are not actually based on school holidays, I'm sure you know that, they change based on how many people have them booked, which is obviously why they shoot up during holidays.

Personally I'd say your question about the Wednesday flight will depend on which holiday it is. If it's one of the two week school breaks then the wednesday will probably be more expensive than the middle Wednesday of a one week break.

For the Friday question, that is also probably a day parents would pull kids out of school so I imagine it would be a similar price to the Saturday :)

Sorry missed a bit.
If your return flight is at the start of the holidays it should be ok pricewise.
Can't imagine many people using them to fly back then :)

Thanks Luke. :)

We are hoping to book the day they go on sale. :)

Our 3 week trip is now looking more likely which is a very exciting prospect to us. I don't want to feel torn on the days after the wedding whether we should have a well earned rest and enjoy the pools and take it easy or think "we leave in 6 days - quick we need to do the parks" so having the extra time would really be amazing.

Having looked at the KLM route we just did (which was lush planes and via Detroit which was a great airport) the prices are £450 now for duing this easter so it is really tempting for us to save £2k on flights and then not worrying about need to compromise on resort and still get to stay for 3 weeks.

Eeee, how exciting!

Good news about a 3 weeker! When we got married we only had ten days in orlando (our last four on the Wonder) which included our planning day and our wedding, and it really felt like the holiday part was a bit rushed!!

If you book the flights the day they come out they should be at their cheapest price no matter when abouts in the school holidays, hopefully :)

Oooh, I'd love to have a cruise, there's a 4 nighter on the Dream that starts the day we check out of the GF but Jack just won't go for cruising. :(

I was the same, never fancied a cruise, too sedate for me. That's why a short one like a 4 day Disney one was ideal. Was great I must admit, they made a fuss of us *** it was our honeymoon too.

I wouldn't rush back to cruising but I do fancy the Dream at some point :)

I didn't want to cruise, now done 5 DCL & another booked and done 2 RCCL, also considering Alaska for next May.
Give me a choice of 7 nights at Disney or 7 nights on DCL I would take the cruise. Can't wait to get aboard Disney Dream next August, just wish it was longer than 4 nights.

Me too. :goodvibes

Tell Jack it would be the perfect addition to your honeymoon  and often it works out cheaper than paying for a hotel room/meals etc!
