School Backpack - middle school - Boy

Ds13 used to have LLBean, but then got an Under Armor because it was cooler, and this year switched to a string bag, again, for the coolness factor (he does walk almost a mile to school). I love Lands End and LLBean backpacks, but my kids will only use them for so long.

My DS-- also a middle schooler-- got the mid-size LL bean one in the gray/graffitti pattern. He loves it and is the only one that has held up. We used to go through 3 a year... He's quite hard on them. I can't belive the difference in store bought ones and LL Bean!

Staples has had a "free" (after rebate (in the form of staples money)) backpack during BTS the past few years. I like the Swiss ones. They may not be as good as the LL Bean, but I use the Staples money for ink anyway, so I feel the price is right.

I finally took the advice of a friend a couple years ago and bought a good backpack. I was tired of buying a new one every single year.

We got the LL Bean Quad Pack in mountain red. It's a nice dark red with gray and black. My DS12 has used it for two years and it still looks brand new. It really is a great back pack:

My DS has had an Under Armor backpack since Jr high. He will be a senior in the fall. It has lasted all these years. I don't know how much they run. My brother is a college basketball coach and had extras and gave both boys ones. They are great. I used to have to buy one every year.

Lands End. DD just finished 6th grade and used the same purple backpack since 2nd grade -- it still looks brand-new, and we haven't even cleaned it.

DS17 has had the best luck with Lands End, but it's not as "cool" as Northface. He also tried Swissgear, but it didn't wear well at all.
