Is there Chicken Schnitzel at Biergarten or just viel?

They had chicken on 5/31, but I don't know if that's always the case.

Last time we ate there, November 2010, they only had the chicken. It wasn't very good at all.

1) Currently, it is chicken.
2) And, as summerlady says, it is pretty gross.
3) When they have pork, it is just OK.
4) Way-Back-When, they had a very good veal.

There is no such thing (in Germany, at least) as Chicken Schnitzel. It is an abomination invented by Americans!

1) I wasn't going to go into that, but you are correct.
2) They have veal, but now have pork ("Schnitzel Wiener Art").
3) By law, "Wiener Schnitzel" must be veal.

The first week of May it was chicken schnitzel and not very good!:rotfl:

Rusty Scupper and I were talking about the real Germany, not the Epcot Pavilion

I wish they'd offer Rehschnitzel (venison) with a mushroom sauce!!
The chicken is aweful!!

It was chicken when we went last Spring.

Does WDW even serve veal? They may have banned it along with the Foie Gras.

The meal is a buffet.

Have you looked at the prices of veal cutlets in a grocery store, and compared them to chicken? Normally in the restaurant business, the cost of the food is about 30% of the menu price. So to have veal on the menu they would have to raise the price of the buffet by several dollars.

Thanks for the "absolutely positive" response. The best chicken (please don't kill me) schnitzel is at Gustav's in Washington and Oregon (Portland Metro Area). So exicited, 3 days till my I leave for the World!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure they ever had veal. If they did, it was a long time ago. Sometimes the schnitzel is pork and sometimes it is chicken. Lately I have heard more about chicken (I'm guessing because chicken is cheaper and they're cutting back). The chicken used to be good - but the last time I had it, it was dry and overcooked. Yes, WDW serves veal - but usually at signature restaurants and not buffets.

We ate there last week and had a GREAT meal. The schnitzel was chicken, but it was not the best offering there. I really enjoyed this meal, most everything I had on my plate was fabulous.
