Scheduling Fastpasses with RotR

I'm going in April and my Fastpasses date is approaching. Any tips for when to schedule Fastpasses if you're hoping to also ride RotR? Now that you may only have an hour to return I'm nervous that we'd have to choose between Fastpasses that are already booked or missing RotR. I'm planning two days to try for a boarding group. One we'd hop for Epcot for our Fastpasses and one we'd stay in Hollywood Studios.

I'm having the same dilemma. Hoping that they move opening time up from 9AM to 8AM the week we are there. I think I will attempt to book SDD, RRC, and TOT in the 9:30AM-1:30PM timeframe. Have a 1:40PM ADR. We will be booking HS FP+ at 60+4. We will be there at RD (probably for MMRR) My hope/preference is to go to SWGE and RotR after lunch....but I know we will just have to work around what we get. I just expect it will be hard to move some of those fast passes once booked. I'll make sure to leave some sort of gap in my morning schedule to maybe make it easier to work around.

Yeah I was thinking about gaps so
you have 2 hours. The one hour return in the morning is not enforced and most CM say it a glitch

Oh that's a relief. Two hours should be fine since I'm not scheduling ADRs out of the park.

How long does it take approximately to do RotR including any lines to start the experience. Would 1 hr in between Fastpasses work? Or should I stagger them more.

if its working properly an hour is enough. If it's malfunctioning and you have a conflicting ADR or fp, the CM are giving a fp to come back to RotR so you don't lose your bg

Thanks! I'm thinking an hour and a half in between Epcot Fastpasses like ideally 10-11, 12:30-1:30 and 3-4. Probably just an hour gap for HS ones.

Took my family members a little over 2 hours yesterday. But apparently yesterday was a bad day for RoTR.

I just planned my FP as if RotR didnt exist and figured we would figure it out on the day of, since you can’t even really begin to guess what BG you’ll receive or when/if you’ll be called.

I thought those 3 were in the same fastpass group and you can only get 1 of those as a fastpass. Is that true? When I went recently (got FP day of) I was at rope drop and got to SDD right at opening wait for me was 10 mins if that, and then had a FP for RRC. I don't ride TOT (I'm a chicken).

As of 02/19 (I believe is the right date), tier 1 at DHS contains MFSR and SDD, with MMRR being added when it opens. Tier 2 is everything else.

Reading through the boarding group post it sounds like you can often get an anytime fast pass if there is an overlap. We'll need rider swap for RotR so it'll probably take us awhile when called.

We only had 1 FP expire while waiting in ROTR line and they let us on the ride with no issue. (Star tours)
