Schedule your dolphin time at DC?

When do you get to set up your reservation time for the dolphin swim? I will payoff our reservation in a couple of weeks for our Nov 18 visit to DC. Will I be able to reserve our time then? Or is it first come first served when you arrive that morning? I would like to get an earlier ressie if possible.

First come first served. They will ask you what time you want when you check in that morning. We did the first swim of the day when we were there and that's what I plan to do again next March.

how early should you arrive if you want the first swim of the day?

Usually if you arrive about 30 minutes before they are scheduled to open you can go on and get in, register and schedule your swim time.

We got there around 8:30 a.m., we were not the first people there by a long shot, and got a 10:20 swim, which was perfect.
