Is there a way to request to have a certain day off each week? Say i wanted Wednesday to be my day off every week, is that possible?

You maybe could talk to your management team. But normally they give you your days off. Sometimes they will be the same 2 days for a while sometimes they will change every week.

If you are taking Disney classes they do schedule around those, I believe.

Not always. On my first CP, I worked the day of my class

I think the answer to this question is to ask your management team, but more than likely no. CPs fill in the space left by full-timers. I rarely had a specific day off two weeks in a row, and my position was fairly laid back in terms of scheduling. If you need a specific day off for an online class or something, don't risk it. You won't be scheduled during a Disney class, but that's it. Assume the answer will be no and proceed from there. Good luck!!

No, it is very unlikely that a day off request would be accommodated. The only things they will schedule around are Disney classes, or if you have the paperwork from your school saying you need a certain block of time off for online classwork.

I'm not sure if it works the same in Disney World, but in Disneyland, you can put in what is called an ongoing scheduling preference form, and request certain hours and days off each week. They won't guarantee you those, but at least scheduling knows what you would prefer.

However, in Disneyland, CPs are also given 3 years seniority, so doing this in Florida where you come in as newbies may not be beneficial since your preferences may not be accommodated as much due to your status.

If you're taking a CP class, more than likely that will be your day off but they can schedule you, as long as they give you two hours between so you can get to work. And on my program, I always had Wednesday and Thursday off, except for when I was deployed to Cosmic Rays when it was Sunday and Saturday.
