Schedule for T&T and Full Cleaning

We were at BWV in June for 12 nights. After returning from the parks on our 4th day, we found our room had received a full cleaning.....I had thought we were getting a T&T that day, but I checked my confirmation letter and noticed that it was listed on the confirmation as a full cleaning day. The T&T was a few days later on about the 7th day. I felt bad as we hadn't really picked up the room, so it probably was a pain to clean; additionally, we hadn't left a tip. Why would they do a full cleaning only a few days into a 12 night stay.....wouldn't it make more sense to do the full cleaning in the middle or 7 nights into the stay?

Can't answer your question, but we rec'd a couple of confusing T& T and full cleaning days last Oct 02 when we stayed at BCV. It is sort of surprising to find that mousekeeping has been by when you weren't expecting any. I thought maybe it was new staff at BCV and they weren't used to the cleaning schedule. I think we got cleaning/T&T two days in a row.

It would make more sense to me to clean further into the visit and when in a 1 bdrm I find it easy to keep up with towels.

That is correct. On an 8+ night stay, you get full cleaning on day 4, T & T on day 7, full cleaning on day 12. 7 nights or less, you get T & T on day 4.

You can change the days if you like. On an 8 night stay, it might make sense to have a full cleaning on day 4. On a 12 night stay, it would make more sense later.

WE often stay for 10 nights. I usually request the T&T and full cleaning days be switched. I prefer the T&T on day 4.

I've done it on our past 2 trips. Although the last time I moved it from Monday to Tuesday and she showed up at 8:30am on Monday, I told her we moved it.

Never had trouble doing this in the past, but this past January, we did have some confusion. We got T&T two days in a row by mistake. They didn't charge us, so it was fine. I get frustrated with housekeeping not being able to speak the language.

Try finding native born Americans to clean toilets for minimum wage. Now that's frustrating ! :jester:

I'm grateful for all of the people that make my vacation a little easier and more pleasant.

Have a magical day and think Disney thoughts.

The standard schedule is listed in the Guidebook. A few years ago they switched T&T and full cleaning for stays of 8 nights or longer as a convenience. It seemed silly to do a full cleaning on Day 8 when folks were checking out in another day or two.

Another tip, the cleaning schedule is listed near the bottom of your confirmation letter.

If you were there for 12 nights, you should have had 2 full cleanings- one on day 4 and the other on day 12, with the T/T in the middle.

We have been able to switch days for the housekeeping events without any problem- just call housekeeping directly if you want a different schedule or extra services.

Enjoy!
