So we'd planned this trip as a disney only trip so accordingly only booked for 9 days (arrive mid day on the 31st and leave the park midday on the 9th), but now DBF has decided he fancies a day (or two! :scared: ) at universal.

Needless to say this has entirely mucked up my plans haha, its his first trip so i want to let him set the pace, however i'm consious there's alot he might miss out on.

Anytips about time managing? (I'm thinking a day and a half for US and IOA i know thats cutting it fine but its the only way i can see it all fitting in)

Another thing to add is that we're on the dining plan so any day in US or IOA is a day wasted that we've payed for, do our credits roll over to the next day at all?

It looks as thought your there near Easter so the crowds towards the end of your stay will be much higher than at the start.

With regards to the dining plan, yes the credits roll over, so you may need to book a signature restaurant that uses 2 credits.

I have a friend that can easily do everything at the 4 main disney parks in 4 days. If you did this at the start of the holiday and used EMH, then there should be plently of time for a Universal trip or two.

We travel out on the 2nd April, and feel we've got about 2 days before the crowds start to increase for Easter, so bear that in mind when planning your days.

we do both parks at universal in one day, we get there before it opens and do the studios part in the morning, we manage to get round all we want to do, we then go for lunch at hard rock and then do islands of adventure in the afternoon.

We have been before so it might be a bit different to how you wantt o do it

We stayed for 2 weeks onsite last time and had the dining plan, didn't do WDW every day but still managed to use all the credits: We ate at some signature places, the odd day we did 2 TS restaurants (breakfast and dinner), CS credits can be used for takeout pizza from the resort food courts (or at least they could in Sept 07) and snacks can be the pre-bagged candies, good for souvenirs/gifts :)

We've often spent just a day at Universal and steamed around both parks, riding everything... You can always pre-purchase the Front of Line passes for extra efficiency if you're there at a busy time - here's a link... :goodvibes

Sorry if this has already been asked before, for those of you who have gone to US and IOA from a Disney hotel how did you get up there and back without a car? Did you get the Mears shuttle and if so what did it cost? TIA:goodvibes

We always do 3 days at Universal - 1 day in each park and the split the 3rd day redoing our fav bits. :cool1:
Universal closes early, so we have had an ADR in MK for the last sitting and managed to squeeze in SpectroMagic and Wishes as well. :cheer2:
Works well as when finished eating, park is empty and noone rushes you out -loads of photo oppotunities.:thumbsup2
