Scene-Stealing Sidekicks - September 2025 Exercise Challenge

Evening all!

We're now just over half way into the month and we've got a few more colour changes. Congrats to CinCrisis, PollyannaMom, Twilight Sparkle and the Team for reaching purple!

:woohoo: 🥳:banana::woohoo::banana:🥳

Our next scene-stealing sidekick is none other than Baymax from Big Hero 6:

Now you might be surprised that Baymax is in fact a sidekick, as for me he's undoubtedly the star in Big Hero 6, but he is indeed the sidekick to Hiro Hamada. Baymax is a helper robot designed by Hiro's brother Tadashi, a large inflatable aiming to be a Healthcare Companion and treat nearly any ailment.

Though highly knowledgeable in the healthcare field, he is often very childlike and despite being kind and attentive, can also come across as inconsiderate if his patients say they don't want help. Baymax is "upgraded" by Hiro to give him fighting abilities and protective armour, and has the ability to store masses of data and has impressive strength, although his outer vinyl shell is somewhat vulnerable in certain situations.

As well as appearing in Big Hero 6, Baymax also has his own show where he helps patients across the city of San Fransokyo. He can also be seen in other films, such as an antenna topper in Zootopia, a face of a Kakamora in Moana and as a snow doll in Frozen 2.

Fun facts - Baymax's personality is inspired by Totoro from My Neighbour Totoro, there is a ride dedicated to him called The Happy Ride with Baymax in Tokyo Disneyland and he is voiced by Scott Adsit, who has also starred in 30 Rock.

I'll leave you with my favourite Baymax clip, and possibly one of the funniest clips in general

Baymax looks like he'd give amazing hugs!

I have 40 minutes to add. Charles and I both came down with the flu at the end of last week, right before a bit of travel for Jacob to do a sort of interview for a potential new job and to see some family. I feel absolutely worn out. My minutes come from yesterday, when my SIL, niece, Charles, and I went to an indoor playground, plus a few for today when we stopped at our old college campus to walk around a little bit as a break on our drive back home.

I have my doubts about the rest of the month! I'm still not over the flu. The job interview ended up working out, so we will be planning a move within the next month or so, and I am pregnant again! Though I'm well into the second trimester now, exercise may be hard to accomplish in the coming weeks.

Congratulations Elizabeth Smith!

The Happy Ride with Baymax is a clone of the Mater ride at DCA and the Aliens ride at Toy Story Land at DHS. Its music is catchy, though, and it did seem to make people happy!
Ahh I'm not going to lie, thats rather disappointing despite the catchy music - just looked it up:

205 minutes - horses and guest prep (deep cleaning, decluttering, rearranging, hauling heavy stuff up/down stairs)

Baymax and Mochi are fab! Need to watch Big Hero Six again.

Congrats, Elizabeth Smith!!!! And congrats to Jacob on his new job!!! Are you able to share where you are moving? I hope it's near me! I'm sure all of us here would love to have you nearby! Hope you feel better soon. The flu is never fun, and I imagine it's a million times worse when pregnant.

Well!!! I found you! September has been totally hectic - I haven't done back to school in a very long time. Now, with a second grader and a sixth grader - life is nuts! But it's calmed down a bit now. The girls are settling into a routine ( Gran is definitely not a happy camper at 6:00 a.m. ) so, so far, so good. In the middle of all this, my daughter and I managed a quick trip down to WDW last weekend. It was really fun - did some of Food and Wine and got some much needed rest.
@clappyclaps - Since I'm so late getting here, I'll put up numbers but please - don't include me in your totals - too confusing at this point.
Elizabeth - wonderful news! Hope you're back to feeling well quickly.

25 minutes hiking - it was way harder than I expected. I really need to get my cardio ready for the parks. I leave in 30 days, yikes! Then 60 at the gym lifting heavy. :)
