Scene-It DVD Expansion packs

Do you need to have the regular Scene-It DVD game to play the expansion packs? If you just get the expansion pack and not the full game version, what are you missing out on? I was interested in the 007 one as a gift for someone, but I know they don't have the full game.

The expansion pack just has the new disc that you watch to answer the questions. It would not have the playing board, dice, game instructions, and other game pieces to play.

I would think that you would need both to play.

By the way, it's a GREAT game. We love it!!

So would you be able to say play the 007 one using the Disney set-up? Do the expansion packs come witht he carded questions as well? Just wondering.

The expansion packs do come with carded questions (I forgot about those!). You could "play" in the sense that you could watch the scenes and try and answer the questions, but there would be no board to move around on.

The game is sort of like Trivial Pursuit in that there are various categories of questions, and you answer according to where you land or what you choose (sometimes you get to choose the category). There are also options for "All Play" for everyone to guess the answer to the scene on the screen.

We have the Disney version...are all the versions set up essentially the same? I would love to buy other packs and just use our Disney board and dice.
