scattered thunderstorms???

not really sure where to post this, but we are leaving for wdw soon and have been obsessively checking the weather. the good news is, so far the weather looks great...except for the day we have tix for mnsshp. that day says scattered thunderstorms. what does that usually mean for florida at this time of year? does it mean all day, or do they normally come in the morning or the afternoon. do they often say scattered thunderstorms when what they really mean is that they are scattered...hit or miss?

We're getting into the dry season now so there should be next to no rain if you're coming down soon. Thursday and Friday of this week have a 20-30% chancce of rain in Tampa so it's more than likely NOT going to rain. I wouldn't worry at all about it.

Unfortunately there is no way to tell you exactly what will happen. It's the weather. It's unpredictable.

Scattered thunderstorms mean that there may be thunderstorms where you are and there may not. I have been in WDW where it was bright and sunny at MK but raining at MGM.

Dont let it bother you. There is nothing you can do about it.

Don't worry about it! It may rain it may not. If it does chances are it won't last long. And besides, you'll dry! If there's lightning go hide on a ride. Just remember rainy day in the parks is better than a sunny day at work!

thanks! I know it sounds like a ridiculous question. I swear I haven't obsessed over the weather this much since the week of my wedding. lol. I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

as another poster said = we are coming into the dry season. Hopefully you'll be partying under starry and clear skies!

My best advice is to STAY AWAY from the weather predicting channels and websites!! On one trip we kept watching the weather on the tv in the room even while we were there! Storms were predicted for the next day, so we cancelled our plans. BIG mistake. Not only did it not rain, but the sun shone brightly all day - and where were we because of the weatherman's prediction? The mall, shopping. Never again. Never again. Never again. It's vacation and if it rains, so be it.

It's snowing up here in Minnesota right now, so 85 degrees and a few showers isn't going to hurt my feelings any We'll be there next Thursday the 19th.....can't wait

Still snowing here today.....that makes about 1.5" so far, can't wait to hit that 85 degrees next week.
