Scary before close on HHN nights?

we will be in the parks the 26th and 27th, parks close at 8pm. My son is 8 and not a fan of truly scary stuff.
I'm wondering if scare zones, etc get set up before park close? Is there any area we should try to avoid as it gets closer to 8pm?

Studios closes at 5pm on nights HHN is on........both 26th and 27th are HHN, so Studios will be closed at 5pm for you if you're not staying for the event.

IOA will be open later than that.

Anyone not staying for HHN are all cleared from the park before anything is set up. There are some bigger sets that can't be removed kept out, but it's nothing that would scare anyone.
