Anybody have any scars with a story behind them?

----------------------------

I was reading an article about two girls with Osteosarcoma, the same type of cancer I have.
And it had a picture of one of the girls scar, and it said how whenever someone asks 'What happened to your leg?',she always responds by 'Shark attack'.
And that's where I got the inspiration for this thread.

Anyhoo, from the middle of my right thigh to the middle of my calf,I have one long scar from my knee replacement.
At the end of my right thigh, kind of on my knee,I have a little dot from my biopsy.
On my left knee,I have a scar from a time I was riding scooters with my friend, fell off,and a whole patch of skin fell off.
All over my hands,I've got little dots which are scars from different IV's.

Yep,I've got quite a medical history going on. :upsidedow

I've got a scar on my lip from a bad video game experience. xD
Leg from falling off the top of a swing set.
Arm from this..infectious..thing. I tell people I fell off my bike.
Mini scars from my dog bites and little brother scratches.

They'll be here forever, and I'm not that upset about it. I don't want any but once you have one you have to live with it.

I have a scar right across my arm because this summer I got REALLY REALLY sick and I was at camp and I had to go to the bathroom and I was really really dizzy and could barely stand and i got outside of our cabin and I could barely stand and on the way back I passed out and fell on something really sharp and i they had to call 911 and take me to the hospital by abulance because I couldnt stand and I quit breathing so I had to get 13 stitches right down my arm

I have scars on my knuckles and elbow on my right arm/hand.
In 2002 I was going to my friends house on scooter and she lives at the bottom of a hill. and my scooter ran over an acorn and fell over. I protected my body pretty badly lol.

middle knuckle: my cat attached herself to my finger, i ripped my finger away
neck: cat got outside, i carried her in and she cut me
lower back: cut on a pole at string camp
lower on lower back: cut on a pole at string camp the next year
knee: no idea
arm: no idea

not any scars i can think of right now but cuts and bruises appear and i have no idea where they come from... a few weeks ago i went to stay around my aunts flat for the night and when changing into my pajamas, i noticed i had a long cut across my chest. Weird thing being I had to change my top before i left to her house and there was nothing there, plus there was no blood on the top i had on... creepy.

Mmk. *looks for scars*

One under my right eye from those little mop-wringer/dryer-thingies. My brother almost blinded me. o.o
One on each elbow. Skidded down a hill. How I managed to scratch both elbows is beyond me.
5-6 deep scratches on the right shin. Came from someone hitting my bike and the pedal scratching my leg.
3 deep long scars along the back of my left leg from losing my footing on my bike. -.-
Several scars on my right hand from wrestling with a cat and a friend. XD

I think that's all. =P

On my upper arm under my shoulder from a fence accident.
One on the other arm from my sister.
The newest one is on my calf there is a set of three, may be a collectors edition, from a football cleat. I got cleated and there are three scars going down my calf, that and my football tan looked really well together.

A scar from when I was 5. I was jumping from bed to bed and smacked my head off the corner of well

Age 10 I got hit in the head with a baseball bat.

Age 12 I get hit in the head with a corner of locker.

Eyebrow- chickenpox.
Knee- scooter+big hill+ no skills in scootering.
Finger- When I was young and stupid, we had a contest to see who could touch the tip of a hot glue gun for the longest. I won xD
ANd a bunch other various ones. I was a tomboy, and me and my brother got into a bunch of "wrestling matches"

one of my knees- Heely-ing, you know those sneakers with the wheels in them well like 3 years ago I had a pair and I was going up a hill and tripped over a rock and cut my knee really bad and then when it healed I did it again. so ya it's like a line where the outline of the cut was.

None at the moment.
But if my acne doesn't clear up, I'll end up having scars on my face. D:
-_-

I wanna go to a doctor...but my mom says no.

Right Hand - Whole bunch from my cat.Clawed my whole hand this Summer.
Right Arm - Scratches from Romeo
Chest - Scratch from Romeo
Left Wrist on Top - Scar from getting something removed

i'm covered in scar tissue. i hurt myself a lot. i think the worst i hvae are four lacerations that got me 87 stitches.

moral of that story: don't carry dishes down stairs. it don't work.

I have a weird looking one on my knee from third grade; fire drill, friend pushed me, convienently happened to be a sewer-cover thing right in front of me. I fell over it, rolled down a hill, and proceeded to almost pass out in front of the entire school. Fun.

I also have scars of various lengths running up and down my arms from animals at work. Three in the crook of my left arm from a rotti/chow mix who didn't want it's nails cut, another long one up my right arm from a cat that didn't like it's shot, and I've added some in between my fingers on my right hand from a cat that was peeved off and didn't want to lay on its back for a x-ray. I have such a wonderful job.

I have a scar on my knee, and it has a disney history.

Short version-I ran through a bush.

Real version- I was playing tag with my brother and these other kids we met in the labyrinth behind the United Kingdom. I was cornered, but about five feet in front of me, I thought I saw an opening. I ran through it and it turns out it was just a sparse spot in the shrubery. I got a splinter in my knee and went over to my parents. My dad looked at it and decided to take me back to the hotel room (At the Beach Club). We went in there and he tried to get it out with tweezers with no success and more pain. We went to the urgent care just off property. We checked in at around 8 PM, and waited until about 12:30 before we got to see a doctor. He looked at it, injected some numbing stuff and other junk, and made an incision to get it out. Turns out, the piece was arrow shaped and the wide end went in first, so the cut closed up around it. It was almost an inch wide and long. Now I have a t-shaped scar on my knee

I have two on my ankles from walking a long distance in my Chucks.
I have some in between my first two toes, and on the side of my foot from walking too much in flip flops (basically I got blister after blister and never let them heal, so it kind stayed there).
I have one on my chest, I scratched it on something when I was closing my window once.

Oh, and I have a large scar on my shin from when I fell down climbing out of one of the pools at Stormalong Bay, and not only scratched my leg very deeply, but nearly broke my leg.

I've also got 2 scars on both my feet in the same location.
Right where the straps on flip-flops go.

Moral : Rubber flip-flops,long days at amusement parks, and water rides do NOT mesh well.

The scar is also from 6/6/06.
So I'm scarred from the day the world was supposed to end.

The two major scars I have are on each hip. They're about 4 or 5 inches long, and are a little faded. When they first got there, they were down a lot further, and a bit more redish. So here's the story. I was born with dislocated hips, and I had to get an operation (it has some technical name...starts with an o...) when I was one. They put screws in my hips then, at two, they took them out. Apparently this didn't help. I was wrapped like a mummy and had to live on a stretcher in my apartment for a month. Luckily I had my Barbies, so all was good ;) But they gave me the next (and thank goodness the last) operation when I was three. That fixed everything! Now I dance and do a lot of movement in theatre and stuff, so I'm okay. But if you look really closely, I have a slight limp. It's not obvious, but it's partly there. Drives the living heck out of me! But anyways, I have these two crazy scars to prove all I had to go through in the first three years of my life  I always put my hands by my side when I'm wearing a bathing suit, because when you're little, you can brag about it, or not care. But now that I'm sixteen, I feel a bit more self-conscious about them :)
