my cat died and when my dog had a sezuire. that was one of the scariest things, even if i only heard about it. he must have been terrified

probably the day I was in the car with my mom on the way back from kfc, when she told me my little sister had a week or two to live
that was really scary

As a fourth grader on 9/11, being told what happened to the Twin Towers, and saying that my dad was at work, and that my mom and two sisters were on their way to NY and they didn't know where they were.

And then once we heard from them, having my friend's dad decide to be honest with us and tell us we'd probably go to war.

I may have only been 10, but yes, I understood.
