I'm doing a half on Saturday. It will be my 2nd half, and the 1st one I'm doing by myself. I was supposed to walk it with a friend, but she couldn't find childcare, so she had to back out... and I'm left all alone.
I don't want to waste my entry fee, and I kinda think the shirt is cute but wouldn't feel right about wearing it unless I "earned" it (by finishing the race).
I was planning on walking this all along, but now that I'm doing it by myself, I'm NERVOUS! Nervous that I'll get injured, nervous that I'll try to run too much and wear myself out, worried that I'll give up, worried that those sweepers will be chasing me, worried that those sweep busses will look too darn tempting...
Our plan was to walk this one, as we just started "real" (regimented) training this week for Marathon weekend's half. We did one (my friend who backed out and I) in the spring, and it was fine, although I really didn't notice the distance because we were chatting away the whole time. I'm really going to miss that this time
What did I get myself into?!?! (Thanks for listening to me worry to myself!)
I can do it, I can do it, I can do it... right???
