Usually soft opening is a few days before the grand opening. I think we went to Yorkdale on Monday with the Grand Opening on the Saturday.

We were there for the "real"opening if yorkdale too. I refuse to go on their grand openings. I bit too busy for me.

Soooooooooo...... Does anyone have any info on a soft opening yet????
I tried asking at Yorkdale this weekend and was told they "didn't know" but historically it happens on the Wednesday prior to grand opening.
Anyone have any input and/or confirmation????

I was in Disney Store today. Very pretty store. There was a celebration for a little girl who was making her first visit to a Disney Store. Her name was on the big screen and she received a certificate - it was very sweet.

The only problem I had was talking to a CM who didn't know the difference between DL and WDW

Really?!?!?!?

The only day we can all go as a family is Saturday morning. Not really wanting to go and deal with the crowds, but oh we'll. Will have to make sure I am there for open.

Yes, really, I was speaking to a CM and mentioned friends were going to visit Mickey in Florida, her reply 'I hope they have fun at Disneyland'

I did not even correct her because I was so surprised.

The Bestie and I are going to the Disney Store tomorrow and hopefully I can find a Donald Duck tshirt. I had one before (it said "I flunked out of Anger Management" -- my mom bought it for me and she knows me SOOOO well!) but lost it in the laundry room of the old apt. building . Dang, I still miss that tshirt! *keeping fingers crossed*

The store is really nice. It is my favourite layout thus far.
You will be fine. No one is going to jump out as stab you

Mine too I like it better then the one at Yorkdale, it's more spacious then the one there.
