Canon makes a scanner that's under $50 but really good. If you'd like a free photo editor, you could try PhotoPlus 5.5 from http://www.freeserifsoftware.com It looks just like Photoshop or photopaint and works the same way. You can manipulate your photos that way. Best part of all it's absolutely free without any ads etc. I've used it for 6 months now to make my scrapbook.
