Scam Poll...Have you ever been scammed in VMK

Well it looks like I need to change my answer. I have been scammed.

A while back I loaned a DISer an Inferno. I recently asked for it back, and was told that it wasnt a borrow, it was a gift AND on top of that they supposedly traded it away, YET they were seen wearing the inferno a week or so ago. Then This Diser deleted close freinds of mine (the ones who saw her with the inferno) from her friends list.

Now, for sure it was a borrow. I made that perfectly clear when I loaned it to them. PERFECTLY CLEAR. But how insulting is it if it was a gift (it was a loan!) to trade away a gift of inferno.... Either way it's rude and low class.

How's that for a scam, or would this be considered just screwed

I've never been scammed because I don't trade. I only traded once in the two years I've been playing, and that was for a pair of gold ears since I wanted them so badly. And even then that was when the game was still VERY new, when things were more pleasant and less risky. To put it in perspective, all the person I traded with wanted in return for

I lost my crown. Around Halloween i went to a trade room and i noticed the pirate well chair, i thought it looked so cool. I asked the girl if i could trade with her. She became one of my friends on my friend list. She told me she was not the owner and the owner was her friend. She told me to trade my crown to her and i did because the owner wasn't there. We went through the owners rooms looking for her but we didn't find her. The girl i gave my crown too said she would go find the owner she even said she would buy me another crown. She went out of the room and when i tried to find her she was off my friend list. I only being a member for about two or less months thought i could trust her, but i was wrong. I have learned to not trust anyone on vmk unless they are someone i personally know in vmk. I went to buy a new crown but i didn't have enough credits, October was almost over and i didn't think i would be able to get a new crown. it was a good thing my sister had a spare from cute or boot. lol.~I hope this won't happen anymore to me. I have learned to be more careful. Scammers need to be banned from vmk, Forever. That really made me mad, i was close to tears even though it was just a game.

I got scammed once, but it wasn't reeeeally a scam, because it was more like a bad trade. What happened was, I was in a trade room and this girl requested to be my friend, when I was still new to VMK. We got to her room and she said she was really poor and needed stuff to sell for credits, I think I actually gave her some stuff, lol. After that, she asked to try on my gold ears, and she said that she would let me try on her crown and everest jacket. So I agreed because I figured that she was my friend... she ran off with my gold ears and I didn't get a chance to report her. BTW- this was when gold ears were way more valuable than crowns.

In the two years that I have been playing, I have never been scammed... I've never let anyone borrow anything and i trust few in the game and look where it's gotten me

But i'll be the first to admit that as a brand new player, i did "indulge myself" tradewise once... The first day the skeletons at the helm came out in the conquer the sea game, this guy wanted one really bad and traded me a Gold Number Generator and a Monorail Poster (which were at the time rare because credits were hard to come by) for one. A little later that day, he asked to trade back, but i told him all trades were final. I felt so bad after that though because i thought "hey, what if that was me?" so i swore to not ever do that again. But like I said, it was when I was first starting out, I didn't really know any better, but I've learned from my mistakes since then. Maybe this brush with temptation is why I'm always alert for scammers?, I don't really know, but I'll stop tooting my own horn now anyways...

See there are few interesting things you didn't know about ol' Cap huh? LOL would you be surprised if I told you that for a brief period of time I also did taken? But that's a story for a different day...
