What type of scale do you have? I have the one where the dial or gauge turns when you step on it but I'm thinking I'll buy a digital scale. I figure it will be easier to read.

I don't have one at home any more. I weigh at work on a Doctor's type scale. That helps me not to weigh in too often, sometimes.;)

I have an EVIL scale! It flashes wicked messages (in digital format) to stop trying to lose. Some days it teases me and lets me feel good about my progress, only to smite me a day or two later! It's OK though. One can't have all goodness and grace, but we can have faith in our ability to overcome the wicked. I don't really pay any attention to her. It's a love hate relationship, and I just worry about weather or not I need to change sizes! :p (BTW My dial scale was wicked, too)

Keep the Faith!

I have a digital scale that we bought at Target. It's easy to read, and seems accurate according to my dr's scale. I think we spent about $30 on it.

I have a Healthometer dial scale. It was pretty expensive when I got it a few years ago so it better be right!!! I swear I could line up an entire array of scales and each one would weigh me different!!

I hate scales...we have a tatinani or something like that scale that I got at Drugstore.com. It weighs to the .5 pound and does BF...only I don't do the body fat because it depresses me even more than the weight numbers, and that is bad enough...

I go into my local Boots(chemist) where they have these scales that you buy a smart card for (£1.00 - 4 weighs) and it records your last 5 weights - You have to input your height, build and sex and it also gives you the weight you should be - good for targets - Downside is that you have to remember to wear the same clothes as it's not really the done thing to strip off in public:p

It also removes the temptation to weigh every day if you have to pay for it!!

I have the kind of scale you kick against the wall if you don't like what it says.... then, the next time you get on, it says what you want it to say !;)

My digital scale must be related to tlgoblue's scale!
 It gives me evil messages, too! :jester: I mean, I couldn't POSSIBLY weigh as much as it says, right? Well, maybe I could........... It is starting to go down some though - finally! :D

Yes- even my scales says its a man's world! DH is always favored and gets the bigger loss! I think there is a curse put on them in the factory - just no other explanation. I am sure my DD - (Ohmom) agrees - she doesn't even allow them in her house - 3 girls to 1 guy (a real sweetie SIL, at that) but the curse could be worse when its 3 to 1!!!

But if you must have, I say go for the digital - no number guessing, accurate and readable!

I don't own a scale. I weigh at work, Dr type scale, or at my friend's house, she as the body fat digital scale. I have been thinking about buying one though....

I have not had a scale in over 10 years. I was obsessed with weighing myself every day, so I gave it to goodwill. I get weighed when I go to the doctors once a year. I judge my weight by the way my pants fit!

Mine is digital and also measures BF. It took forever for the BF to start going down, but now it's reassuring to see the BF drop even on those days when the weight has hit a plateau. (or even inched up!) Since I'm almost (2-3 pounds to go) at the upper end of a healthy weight range, the pounds will come off more slowly, but the exercise is giving me more muscle tone. Just added those abominable abdominals this week. ;) My goal is 125 or a size 6, whichever comes first. ;)

I have a scale similar to those in doctor's offices. I'm thinking about giving it to my brother and buying one of those new fangled digital scales, though.

I don`t own a scale. I go to dh`s work and weigh myslef on their big digital scale they use to weigh packages to be shipped!LOL I can`t have one at home or i get on it every single day and drive myself nuts.

We're suppose to have a scale????? ;)

I have a digital scale also, and it must be related to the "evil" scale family!

I just bought a digital scale and I like that it just tells me the wieght, I hated trying to guess does that say 233 or 234. Not to mention the dial was contstantly having to be reset.

So even though I hate what the digi says, if you are going to buy one go for the digi.

Good morning,
I'm going to get a digital scale and I hope it's not evil! I'm sure I won't like what it's going to say, at least in the beginning. I am just going to make sure it's not one of those scales that really does talk to you announcing your weight. It's going to be bad enough to see the number, I don't need some scale saying it in that stupid digital "voice"!!!!!!!! A friend of mine has one of those and it said it's just terrible!! Have a good day!

I too have one of those Tanita scales that measures your body fat as well. I also had to move it into another room b/c I was beginning to obsess about my weight daily!! I also suspect it may need an exorcism b/c there is no way i have as much BF as it thinks I do!! But it too is beginning to see the light so maybe I'll hold off on any drastic measures ;)

OMG! How awful! What was your friend thinking? DH had a car like that "PLEASE TURN OFF HEADLIGHTS!!!!" Over and over! I wanted to shoot that car! I can't even imagine a scale shouting , what I would consider obscenities, at me. UGH! The mental image is funny though! :p

Keep the Faith!
