Scale of 1 - 10... how much do telelmarketers upset you?

I'm on the DNC, and between our 2 lines, I bet we still get 4 - 5 a day, and once in a great while I bet we hit 10 a day.

That doesn't make sense. I would register your numbers again.

We went without a landline for awhile and we just switched back to AT&T again. We had to get a new number since we didn't have their service anymore. The telemarketers were like vultures. A new number hit their database and they had a field day. We were inundated with calls. I registered our new number with the DNC list and the calls tapered off within 48 hours. Within a week, they were 99% gone.

I'll see if I can, but I absolutely know I registered. In fact, I put a reminder in my online calendar to remind me when it needs to be done again. Did them all, including cell phones.

They don't have the power to bug me! LOL! If I answer a telemarketer call, I simply say "I'm on the DNC list" & hang up.

Well, you either still have to get up and check, or at the very least you hear the phone ring - which to me, is something I don't enjoy, even if I don't plan to answer.

Nope, our phone announces who's calling and it will say "unavailable" or "private" and a whole bunch of other things. We have it programmed to recognize phone numbers of friends and relatives so it will annouce their names the way you want, for example "grandma" instead of her name. And if you are in a different part of the house and can't hear, but watching the tv, our local cable company has an option for it to show up on the bottom of your screen. Telemarketers are no big deal to me because I don't answer the phone if I don't know who's calling, heck half the time I do know, I don't answer it!
