Scale Map of Parks

Doe anyone know if a Scale Map of the Theme Parks exist and how to get one?

My Passporter map has estimated walking times but I really want a scale map.

Any help would be appreciated!

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking.

Do you mean a map that actually has a scale key on it, like ".5 inches = 500 ft"?

The maps in the Passporter (as well as the official park maps) appear to be "to scale" to me- with items in their correct positions and relative distances represented correctly. But there's no "key" to identify what the actual scale used is.

The only scale map I can think of is the Cast Atlas, but that doesn't have the park info you're looking for; only the park locations relative to the rest of the resort.

I was trying to find a regular map of the park like the ones you get at the parks. Can you get anything like that downloaded from online?? Thought maybe I can plan my trip better having it beforehand. Thanks.

All of the maps I have seen in the guide books, Passporter, etc. have all been pretty much to scale. If you have a map from anywhere and you have the estimated walking time, you should have plenty of information.

Also, there are interactive maps available at Disney's official site. Try this:

Just under the big graphic/photo, there's a little bar with choices including Dining Finder, Calendar, and MAP.

On the map, you can click on the various parks to zoom in, then hover over the dots to read about the attractions at each location. You can also get to a PDF version of each map from here.

Not the same maps you get at the parks, but they could be a big help in your advance planning!

Yes. I want a map with a Distance Key such as
1 inch equals 100 yards etc. etc.

Sample use would be -
What is the distance from Mission Space to The Land?
UG Epcot plan calls for doing MS and TT and then going to The Land - then doubling back to Universe of Energy.
How many feet or miles is that?

Another Sample - What is the walking distance for a complete lap of the lake or lagoon - Mexico to Canada?

I am looking for that too! I am teaching scale map conversions right now, and I think my students would find that MUCH more interesting than the problems in the book.
I did find this one, but it's kind of vague. I was hoping to do one park and have them find like, the distance the parade travels or something.
I guess I could use this one and just see how far it is from a resort to a park or something.

I bet the Passporter maps are going the closest to what you are looking for.
They are the best maps I have found.

Do a google earth seach and you will see everything from a bird's eye view exactly as if you were looking down on it. That will give you an exact look.

Several online mapping sites will do this. They usually have a little bar at the bottom as you are moving the map around that adjusts and shows actual distance as you zoom in and out of the page as well.

Yahoo maps will also give you the same thing and is easy to use. Type in the location and chosse satellite view. You can zoom in and move the page around and see everything at Disney and the surrounding areas. Just like you are flying over in a plane.

Did you try ordering the custom maps from Disney with just the attractions you are interested in. They are Free. I have 2 so far from my last 2 trips. You can pretty well figture out the distant from point A to point B. Just a though.

install Google Earth, you can add paths to the map that will give you exact measurements.

If you go to www.mapmyrun.com they give you a google-earth type view. You can then go in and mark as many specific points as you want on a certain route. It tells you the exact distance between each and for your total route.

I don't think it gives times, but I haven't played with it a lot.

It is sort of fun to remap your day and see how far you actually walked... even to the point of "then I walked over to this food cart, etc..."
