SC AP payments

If she is considering getting a Premium or Deluxe AP (OP mentioned PAP earlier in the thread), her living in So Cal would be a moot point. She would only need to be a CA resident to use the payment plan.

This is correct, you do not need to be a So Cal resident to get the monthly payment plan, as stated above I have the monthly payment plan for our APs and it wasn't a problem even though I'm in Nor Cal.

She WILL need to prove her residency, I would call back. It's possible she can take a copy of the rental agreement or it's possible she can take her school ID and her current drivers license to activate but I really don't know.

OP correct me if Im wrong on this but I am replying based on my understanding that your daughter is coming from Washington to CA correct??? This is why I have been stating everything Ive said..it doesnt matter whether she lives in so cal or anywhere else in CA, she will have to show proof of address in CA in order to get any type of AP on a monthly payment plan...

pixiewings..that is a really good idea...even my daughter has a rental agreement...OP try calling and see if that option will work...

Thank you so much for all the responses. I called again and verified that she'll have to provide proof upon request. I was told that if her debit card/credit card that is used to establish the payment plan has a California billing address and we set the plan up online, she will be able to activate the voucher when she arrives as long as she has valid ID. I asked twice, and the CM said this would be true even if her ID is still her Washington State DL. To be safe, I'm going to tell her to bring her rental agreement with her!

Thanks again for all of the info. I was very worried, once she selected a place to live, that her circumstances (renting a room) would prevent her from taking advantage of the payment plan. As a young adult just starting out, even with DH and I making a sizeable down payment, she won't be able to afford a PAP otherwise. I hope we truly have it figured out and the plan goes off without a hitch!

Good luck! There have been questions similar to this posted in the past and I really think everything should be fine. Disney has set up a lot of hoops to keep dishonest people from abusing the system, and unfortunately that means for some honest people that are actually following all the rules, things become harder. I really think that if she shows up will her rental agreement, a debit card that has a CA billing zip code, willingness to answer some questions, and most importantly her enthusiasm about getting an AP at Disneyland, they should not have any issues :)

I hear you and I totally forgot about the debit card zip code thingy...its true because when we were trying to figure out what my dd should take as proof they said that to her as well...our issue was that her debit card is for her bank still here at home and while it would work fine for mo pymts for deluxe or premium...that wouldnt work for the so cal one she got...it was good they let her use her university ID as proof but you know, now that im thinking about it...will she have a bank here in CA??? If so Im pretty sure they would accept her bank papers showing her address on it as well...either way Im sure everything will work out fine:goodvibes
