Taking the advice from the other post, I am taking out all my scrapbook things so I can see exactly what I have and then organizing it. I am finding way too much hideous paper! How did I ever think I would use it? So hideous in fact that the only thing I can think to do with it is let my DS4 have it. He loves to cut paper.

I guess it goes to show how your scrapbook style can change as you progress. It makes me sick though thinking about the money I spent on it all. :(

Wonder what I'll find when I go through my die-cuts and stickers? I'm almost afraid to! :earseek:

You should have seen all the paper I gave to a friend last week. I used to stamp and use 8.5x11. Well, I honestly never use it any more because I have so much 12x12. I gave it all away. I had tried to sell it on ebay, but with shipping, it's not the best deal. That was a BIG box I gave her... probably a couple hundred dollars in paper... sad I know. I'm donating it to her church for the girls since they can use it for scrapbooking or other projects. I just wanted it out of the house so I could have more room. It makes me sick though, how much there was!

yep...I know what you mean...I look at some of my paper and say "What was I thinking..." One good thing I got most of it on sale....

Like the rest I also have paper that I question what I was drinking when I purchased it.

I do use it though. That piece of black tar. I'll cut corners then apply a bright yellow or maybe pink corner a little smaller. It works and sometimes actually look good. Those yucky papers are not a waste, they just need a little thought on how to use then, overlaying is one way.

When they have those wonderful sales on paper that doesn't sell and you think your getting a great deal. The next day when you look at what you've purchased and wonder, maybe I should clean my glasses before shopping for paper.

We should do a paper swap. Everyone gather the paper they don't want and we can swap it around. You never know what one person hates another may have a use. What do you all think?

I've been cleaning a little bit every weekend in my scrapping area and my 4 year old grandson has made out like a little bandit!!! He's gotten piles of paper, stickers, paperpiecings from swaps, etc. He loves to "scrapbook" with me and now has his own huge stash of supplies. And yes, some (MOST) of it just blew me away at how awful it was... I don't know what I was thinking when I bought it all...I can only blame it on being new to the hobby and not very savvy!!! LOL.

My LSS has an answer for what to do with those what was I thinking scrapbook purchases. The Owner, Laurie, has organized a collection for Camp Connect. It is a local camp where Foster children can attend and connect with their siblings for a week of fun and sharing. My LSS is supplying them all with disposable cameras to take photos and scrapbook supplies in which to make a scrapbook to take home with them. If you feel like boxing them up and mailing them check out www.secondfloorscrapbookstore.com . You might even find something similar in your area.
