SBC Question from a newbie

I have been scrapbooking for years and frequest the disboards, but just recently found this section. I have been lurking around here for a few weeks and am intrigued by what I have read. You guys have created amazing pages and I am thinking about trying digital scrapbooking.

I have two questions about SBC+. I see there is a whole thread about it and do plan on going through it when I have time.
1. Is this an easy program to start with? I would like something user friendly to begin with.

2. Also, can you add your own backgrounds to pages in SBC+? But not regular SBC? In SBC does the background have to be black or white or can you add to that? I was trying to what the major differences are between the two?

I have no clue how any of this digital stuff works and would appreciate any advice!

1) It is a user friendly program. If you have basic computer skills - you should be fine. As a CMC - I find it easy to teach to people from 7 year olds to seniors if they already have basic computer knowledge.

2) With the free SBC - you are limited to the templates and dragging and dropping pictures in and filling in text boxes. With SBC+ - the possiblilities are endless. In SBC+ you can use any background that Creative Memories provides in their kits or any paper that you can find in a png format.

I would take the time to check out the thread - you will be surprised at what some of the DIS digital scrappers that use SBC+ have done.

You can click on my layouts below and also check out layouts from quiltymom, DisneyCruiser2008, labdogs42. All of them use SBC+ and do a wonderfull job with the program.

Thanks so much for the info. Those layouts are awesome! I think this may be what I have the hubby get me for my birthday! Just what I need - another addiction! I look forward to reading the whole thread. I am busy doing report cards right now, but as as soon as they are done I will go through it!
