SB Newbie question

I'm a relative newbie to the scrapbook world. I have done a small disney album and have one for my cats and will hopefully have a great new disney one after this trip. For my journaling my handwriting is not that great so I wanted to type it on my computer in my fav fonts. What type of paper do i use to print it on? I know not to use regular paper but I have no idea what I'm supposed to use. Most of my stuff is creative memories b/c that is popular in my area but I also like to shop at Michaels which seems to have some good disney stuff. Any tips would be great. I'm also not so good at coming up with layouts. I thought I would be better at it considering I used to do them for yearbooks. My two books so far have used the snap packs or whatever you call them from CM.

I use my scrapbooking cardstock in my printer,works no problem and it is acid free. If you have 12 x 12 cardstock just cut a slice off so that it will fit thru the printer.

If you want ideas for layouts you will find plenty on the net. www.gracefulbee.com is great place to learn all the basics and different techinques.
www.scrapbooking.com is another great site that is updated regularily with great ideas and layouts.
You can also look at www.twopeasinabucket.com they have a HUGE layout gallery.
Give yourself time to figure out your style-it will come.
I also recommend picking up some of the scrapbooking magazines they are wonderful for inspriation. I find that I am consistenly drawn towards the same type of layouts--and guess what--they happen to be the type that I like to make for my books!!
And lastly - hang out here! We have a groovey group of scrapping chicks here!
