SB Newbie/Disney/Trip Report

Hi Guys!!

I've been wanting to scrapbook my Disney trips. I'd like to combine photos AND my trip reports in albums. I have a friend who does Creative Memories. She's trying to talk me into having a CM party. I think I will do that. For a first project, I was going to choose something non-Disney, like camping or a beach vacation. I want to LEARN and then create my Disney book. First project is usually just a page, right?

Am I on the right track??? Do you have any advice??

Advice - go for it! Have the CM party so you get the idea of what you'll need to create your albumn. I've done our last four trips, I'm working on our Feb trip now, then I have to do our August trip. I need to get done before we go again in March! My 3dds love looking at the books. It's a great way to record your thoughts and memories with the photos.

A CM class is a great first step. If your friend does CM does she have periodic crops as well? That is where I get most of my stuff done.

I have the trip report that I posted for my trip in July, and I cleaned it up and printed it out on a laser printer. I am cutting it up and doing a 2 page spread per day of the trip report, then several spreads of pictures relating to that day. Then to the next day. That way, we won't forget anything about the trip.

Newbie needs explanation of "crops" please!!

A crop is a time when scrappers get together to work on their scrapbooks. A CM consultant will often have several crops a month. You pay a minimal fee to have the fellowship, use of cutters, etc, and also for having her products there to buy.

Ya know, this sounds like a lot of fun. I used to do ceramics and it was like therapy to get together with a group of women and chat while we worked. But when I ran out of functional things to make, I quit. But I do have some really awesome serving pieces to show for those years.
