I've been poking around at twopeas, trying to get some ideas for layouts and ran across some that use magic mesh. How do you get the mesh to stick to your paper? I can't figure out what you'd use that wouldn't ooze through the mesh. Know what I mean?

I Haven't tried it but have looked at it. Some brands have the adhesive on the back. But I would think you could run it through you sticker maker or use eyelets or something like that to hold it down

WHAT IS THIS STUFF!!!!
I've never used it seen it or anything...pls help

I don't have "magic mesh" per say, I bought a roll of drywall tape and of course haven't used it yet.... but it is already sticky and the 2peas peeps say that you can colour it anyway you want too. (ink, marker, etc). Planning to use it in my latest swap (someone stop me from joining swaps....PLEASE!) maggie

The magic mesh that I have used (from my LSS and Michael's) has the adhesive already on the back. Very easy -- just stick it where you want it. I love using this and just got four rolls in metallic colors that came in a set.

Note to self: Either get the mesh that already has adhesive on the back or pick up a sticker maker.

Thanks, guys! I had an online place mess up one of my orders awhile back, and when they straightened it out, they threw in two free samples of Magic Mesh. These don't have adhesive on them, though. Brads and eyelets would work for some things, but several of the layouts at twopeas just showed the mesh laying flat. I'll bet they used the adhesive kind, though.

I had the adhesive o nit type (Magic Mesh usually is - did you open it and see - I would be shocked to find it isn't - but I don't think it says it on the labels either.

you could cut slits in your paper - slide the mesh into it and tape it down on the back - just a thought!

have Fun with it!

Remember that the drywall tape is the cheaper way to go and you can make it any color you want!

Would I find drywall tape at a hardware store or in the hardware section at Walmart? And, does it say "drywall tape" on the label? If not, how will I recognize it?

Sorry to be such a dodo head, but this is all pretty much new to me.

Thanks!

but I am quessing that IF they have it it is in the home improvement stuff near spakle and mud (probably kinda near the paints)
I know that in Home Depot it is in the isle near the SheetRock.

It comes in BIG rolls (like duct tape size) and is usually white and if you pick it up you will see the texture of it!

I hope that helps you :)

I couldn't find it at walmart, I found it at home depot and lowes. maggie

I have both magic mesh with the adhesive and natural netting that is without the adhesive. I like them both fo diferent reasons. They each have their own look. The magic mesh has a flat, symmetrical look. The entire mesh is adhered to the page. The natural netting has more of a wispy, uneven look to it. I just tuck it under things or mount a charm or nugget on it. I massage it a bit and play with it with my fingers. I kind of let it go where it wants to go.
