Well... after seeing those $1600 you can do Disney commercials... DW jumped on the idea... not the $1600, cause I couldn't do it in September... but April/May!!! WOOHOO!!

This is my first trip to WDW and my fams first trip. DW is a Disney Child :)

My question though is re: anniversaries.

DW and I's anniversary is on the 29th of May. We are going to be at WDW at the beginning of the month (times we could fit in and doing it during out anniversary would be crazy at Memorial Day weekend).

Is there anything I can do to make our trip more special since this IS our anniversary celebration... 10 Years!! :)

Thanks SO much!!

The first thing you must do is get the Happy Anniversary buttons as soon as you check in at your resort. If they don't have them, you can get them at Guest Relations at any one of the parks and wear them everywhere for the whole trip. Tell anyone and everyone that you are celebrating your anniversary. If you have made your package reservations, let them know that you are celebrating your anniversary and when you make your ADR's let them know that you are celebrating an anniversary.

Second of all, don't go expecting something to happen or be given to you, because some people haven't had same experiences my DH and I have had.

Now for the fun part, We had breakfast at Chef Mickey's one morning and we each received a celebration placemat (plastic) and his and her cupcakes with candles. Everywhere we went someone was wishing us Happy Anniversary, CM's and other guests. Of course, it makes for more fun with the characters when they see your button. I received a YOAMD's certificate in Canada because I bought my husband a stuffed wolf. We had breakfast at the castle on the morning of our Anniversary and we received the set of wine glasses that have Cinderella's Royal Table engraved on them (can't be purchased anywhere) and we received a wand and sword and visited with each of the Princesses. We participated in a kissing contest at Whispering Canyon Cafe on the evening of our Anniversary and I even arranged for a cake to be brought to our table after dinner as a surprise for my husband. I can't even remember everything that happened, but it made our trip so very special, especially the look on my husband's face when the cake was brought out (priceless).

Have fun planning and kep reading the boards you will find alot of suggestions.

Thank so much!

I was worried about how it would be frowned on since our REAL anniversary is 3 weeks after our vacation.

Now I don't feel as bad :)
