For today i just want to say that I hate not being able to eat everything I want without gaining weight.

I think the only reason organized religion exists is greed for money and as a means to satisfiy the masses need for a purpose to life.

The church doesn't disagree with abortion because of the sanctity of life, it does so because if less ppl have children then there will be less bodies to collect money from at sunday mass.

Gee thanks...I'm really feeling the love on this "no bashing" thread. This is like the fifth post that made a comment either about me personally or directed at me personally.

Yes, I realized what you probably meant by it. My point was that for a "no bashing thread", I've gotten attacked several times - personally - for things that I posted earlier. Guess I just used your post as an example of something I've noticed on this thread several times since I posted to it yesterday.

I knew a woman where I worked that wore her suits way too tight and way too short. She always looked like she sucked a on a lemon. Spouted out her opinions peppered with words that would make a sailor blush. If she was really on a roll she'd raise her voice and pace the office. She was the boss. She was at least 55. (The age just seemed to magnify it all.)

I imagine she thought she was cool. I thought she was foolish. It was like bad reality TV. I didn't want to watch it, but somehow it was entertaining.

Oh my, I know what you mean about the food stamps. I was in the food store the other night with DH and DD and there was a non-english speaking couple in front of us. So anyways, the man realizes he forgets something and runs back and proceeds to attempt to pick DD up and move her out of the way to get back in line. My super overprotective DH freaks out, grabs DD and starts screaming at the guy (he is very, very protective of our DD) so now my DD is in a panic because she has no clue why he picked her up and it's not like we can understand him anyway.

So getting back to the whole point, this man and women are dressed to the nines, and I mean the nines. So they have a cart full of all these name brand foods and when they get to the counter what do you think they pay for it all with? A PA ACCESS CARD (AKA a nicer looking form of food stamps)

So being as though we only had a few things, we get out to the parking lot and we see them loading all the food in there brand new mercedes M class SUV. DH and I were beyond the point of being pissed, talk about taking advantage of the system.

Tell me, was this the Shoprite on Roosevelt Blvd? I stopped shopping there because of incidents like that.

I read as far as page six and I'm impressed at the honesty and calmness of the thread. I hope I don't return to page 7 and find out that it took a turn for the worse.

I think professional ahtletes and entertainers are overpaid and get off too easily for criminally illegal activity.

The President of the USA should not earn a lower annual salary than an athlete or entertainer.

I have never voted. The last Presidential election was the first time I ever considered registering to vote, but didn't follow through with it.

I think if you want to live in the US, work in the US, raise your family in the US then you should learn the language and earn your keep.

Volunteerism is an almost nonexistent art.

I think lawsuits for every little problem it out of control. No one holds them self accountable for their actions and all lawyers od is find loopholes to get people money.

Personal responsiblity has gone away with volunteering.

The FICO score is a crock and I don't think it says enough about a persons current ability to pay off a debt. There should be ONE credit bureau that creditors to report to, not three unique companies with three unique methods of calculating a credit score.

I think NCLB is a farce and we American schools should revert to teaching our children insteading teaching them to study for a test.

Why does someone from a US territory find it necessary to display their homeland's flag everywhere when they are living under Old Glory?

I don't like the current teen fashions and dread school shopping with DD in the coming weeks.

Kids need to be kids. Let them play, let them get hurt.

Kids are expected to grow up too fast.

Kids these days don't know how to use their imagination for play. They are so plugged in and turned on that they don't know what to do if it isn't on a display in front of them.

Prison is too easy for criminals, so many continue to commit crimes to avoid the "real" world.

Politics should not be a career, and should be done for a small suppliment + housing. Politicians should not earn more than teachers, police officers or the military. Next time they want to vote themselves a pay raise give it to the military, teachers, law enforcement etc.. instead.

Welfare should have a time limit on it AND the tools to be sucessful in life should be made available. If you're on welfare and you work, and earn to much money you lose your welfare, but the amount of money that is deemed too much money isn't nearly enough to live off of.

I believe that teenagers can't get jobs because it's easier to hire an illegal than a teenager.

I hate it when parents think their teenagers don't need supervision anymore, they need it more now than they did when they were younger.
