I think I read on rehabs/closures here last night that COP was closing when Stitch opens. I say boycott, I love COP! Why can't they just leave it open? I don't understand it.....I know it is hard to believe but not everyone likes Space Mountain <- ME!
The rumors I've read claim that CoP will at least be open from May '05 until early '06 to tie-in with Disneyland's 50th. There is always a chance that it could go down for some period over the winter to rehab before May, but it's not listed on any schedules that I have seen.
Here's a link to a recent article at Jim Hill Media that addresses CoP's future:
We are hoping it will be open when we are all herded into Tomorrowland before MVMCP on the 28th. As much as I love WDW, I've never been on the COP. Of course, in Tomorrowland I only have eyes for Space Mountain.
I hope CoP Stays up at least through next summer (I'm one of those old folks who saw it at the NY Worlds' Fair in '64 and I'd love to see it again.) I'm sorry that Timekeeper will close before our trip to the World. We saw it in Paris, but I didn't have headphones in English, so I was looking forward to hearing the English words. Oh well, I suppose we'll find something else to do...
