We loved the ASMo and we did stay in the prefered building on our last trip this past JanuaryThe extra money was worth it as we loved being so close to the main building. We were in the end room closest to the main building on the second floor facing the pool. We did hear a lot of pool noise at night and this was Jaunary. We are however, very early to bed and first in the parks type of people. The noise died down by 10 or so but I expect it would be latter in the Summer. I agree that I would request a room that does not face the pool if noise will bother your family getting to sleep. This was not a big isssue for us and we do love the resort. You 2year old will love the toddler squirt pool.

This past June I stayed in All Star Music, on the second floor, and found it to be VERY NOISY as far as Toilets Flushing!
Sports, I stayed in Building 2 (basketball) on the second floor, ALL the way at the end, only one person on one side. It was VERY QUIET!
I also had a view of a canal. I think Movies is the quietest, because I slept like a baby there in 1999!
At POFQ our neighbors moved into the resort at 1 AM - Argh!!! Didn't have any noise at AKL, WL, Contemporary or Coronado. Just as a side note, of the 5 cruises I've been on I only had bad neighbors once and boy, were they BAD neighbors!!
