After a trip down to North Wales on Sunday we came home with...........

202photo_050a.jpg

She is 8 weeks old on Friday and she is very cute.

DH has been waiting a long time for another dog, hopefully she will be the foundation of his kennel:D

What a cutie. What are you calling her or is it going to be Minnie?

A chocolate lab :) !!! How gorgeous she is :) !

Is Neil planning to breed labradors Michelle?

Yes her name is Minnie:D

Shirley that is the idea, its one of the things that we have always wanted to do.
Fingers crossed she is the one to do it with, depending how she does at shows then we will consider breeding from her.
::MinnieMo

She's beautiful! We were adopted by a black labrador, Molly, last October. She is 7 months old now and I absolutely adore her. I never realised what a beautiful breed it is until we got her. Now if she would only stop thinking it is her duty to eat everything that isn't nailed down .......! DH refers to her as the "food processor"!

LOL wdwforever...:D

We have two other labradors and wouldn't have anyother breed....we have had them since they were puppies too. Yes they are doggy garbage disposal units ;)

:D Welcome, Minnie, to the DIS

She is absolutely adorable - want one, want one:hyper:

Wow you already have 2? You lucky thing. I would be more than happy to go and get another one now but DH says no. We moved last October and the bungalow we now live in has two fish ponds. We inherited 13 koi from the previous owner and DH has a hard job keeping Molly from going for a swim. The idea of fighting two of them off is just too much for the poor man!

One part of the pond (which was kept as a "nursery") has been populated with untold amounts of frog spawn. Molly decided to go french on us and see what frogs' legs tasted like! So now it is a battle keeping her away from them too - she obviously liked what she tasted!

We got seriously worried about 6 weeks back when she kept coming in with huge bones in her mouth. Beginning to wonder whether the previous owner was a Fred West type! We then discovered a fox den (is that what you call them?) down the very end of the garden and it looks like Molly was going in (it is a very big hole) and helping herself to their food too. Honestly, there is no stopping the girl!

Anyway, I didn't mean to hijack your thread - I am just so excited for you! Enjoy her and give her a cuddle from me (and Molly).

Dont be silly, I enjoy reading about other people labs...we really love them, we now have 3 ;)

We are trying to enjoy her but all she wants to do is chew and bite and she has needle sharp teeth::yes:: But it will be worth all the pain in the end.
Cuddle passed on:D

Minnie is so adorable and she looks enormous for a pup that age, or maybe it's because I have a little Westie and everything looks big against her.

It fascinates me that you can breed a black labrador with a yellow one and the pups are born a single colour, not patchy.

Is that a Bradford City scarf her 'minder' is wearing?

LOL about the patchy...;)

The scarf is a Harry Potter scarf as modeled by my DD :D

Minnie is just adorable, I would love another dog but DH has just had the house re-carpeted in cream!!!!

My doggie Jessie ( Rotweilller) died about 4 years ago now. She was a real softie.

Think I've already met her, but welcome Minnie!;)

All I can say is she is ADORABLE, and Too Cute!
Dp's make's his way out of the room, at top speed.

We had a chowchow YogiBear, but we had to have him put down due to his back legs. :( Would love another Dog, But at the moment, its hard work with Chelsea! :hyper:
