Saw Vacation Magic cover shoot

When we were at the Boardwalk in August, we saw a boat going around and around the lake. So we said "what are they doing" and looking a little closer. Noticed stuff set up on the deck and realized they were shooting pictures.

So we get our latest Vacation Magic, and DW says "those are the people in that boat we saw!".

Kinda funny... (p.s. this is like my Letterman "brush with greatness" story, but I don't get too close to many celebraties.)

We saw Dave from the Planning DVD doing a shoot in October in the MK - my DD4 went running over to him and said - hey you are in my video and was SO excited to meet him! He seemed flattered to have a little fan!!

It was cool to see!

We were there in August when they shot those pictures, too. In fact, we had dinner at Cape May Cafe that night and DH said he saw the couple in the shots having dinner at Cape May and he inquired what those shots may have been for. You see DH is a studio cameraman so he is very intune to those things. For DH it is not that special because he sees celebrities often, but I agree with you; It was neat to see the cover and recognize them.

We were there about three years ago in March (staying at BW) and saw something obviously being filmed...were surprised to see that very scene/same people/same everything (family loading luggage in their van around Boardwalk portico) on VACATION MAGIC cover some months later...funny and prett neat that we were there (but no calls to be extras. Darn)

That is so cool! How were you chosen? I always wondered how the chose the families on the cover . . . or the quotes from the ones on the inside!
