I liked it. Granted you just accept that its time travel and don't try to question it or figure it out but after that I really liked it. Of course I'm a hopeless romantic so was crying at the end (Happy crying).

Sandra Bullock was great and Keanu was great too (and gorgeous!)

Its not a movie if you annalize everything but if you just want a good interesting love story I recommend it.

Oh, I'm so glad someone liked it! I'm a romantic at heart too. I heard the review for it today in LA and the guy just panned it. Made me mad!

I love Keanu! I've been following him for a long time can't wait to see this now!

I'm easy, you give me romance and a happy ending and two great actors and I'm happy. I don't look for deeper meaning or something to annalize. I really liked it. I actually like it better than Cars.

Now if only July 7th would get here so I can watch Orlando (Will Turner). Heck I could just look at him on screen for 2 hours and be happy!

Ebert and Roeper gave it 2 thumbs up!! We saw it and thought it was fabulous. The theatre was packed.

DD and I went tonight, we loved the movie. You just have to let reality go and enjoy it.

Penny :thumbsup2

I guess that is why I don't watch a lot of movies, cause I am always picking apart movies and always thinking well why didn't it go this way, or if they did it this way it would have been better.

Glad everyone liked it, but I guess I will wait for the DVD so I am not paying a lot to see it.

I am going to see it today! I love  Keanu Reeves.

Thanks for the review. It helps so when you love the actors and these two are faves of mine. Not sure I will get hubby to see it, he will tell me it is a chick flick, but I will go with my daughters.. We love a good romance and can cry with the best of them.

I would have thought this would have been a "chick flick" but there were as many men as there were women last night.
My DH said there was just enough sci fi in it for him that it didn't feel totally chick flicky!

Is this movie based on the book "The Lake House"? I started to read it and couldn't get into it - I think I did 2 or 3 chapters and thought it was too weird.

Just wondering if it's the same story? And if it is, and you've read the book, did the movie stay true to the book?
