Saw the Christmas Parade on travel channel, is it as nice as it looks??

Got to see the annual disney Christmas Parade on the travel channel last night, It looked so beautiful and festive, especially the fireworks!! Is it really that nice??

We are thinking about planning a family christmas vacation there in 2008, it will 14 of us.... That would make for a nice treat for the entire family!!

They tape the parade in segments, and not all on the same day. (Some one out there correct me if I'm wrong.) If you want to get there a few hours before the tapping starts, and stay put for a couple of hours....sure. I talked with a CM who really wanted to see Michael Bolton. She said she stood out side for a few hours in the sun in her festive Christmas sweater and was really hot. She said Michael was worth it though!!

They only showed the night parade, which was beautiful!!

The parade I saw on the Travel Channel was the parade shown during MVMCP.

We just returned and yes the parade and fireworks during MVMCP are really great. The resorts were also very nice as well as the other parks.

I think we liked the MNSSHP better and that time of the year better for our smaller trip down. The MGM lights are not to be missed they are just wonderful.

Christmas time in the World is great. We loved MVMCP and the parade was spectacular. If you don't all want to buy party tickets, go for Christmas and they do the parade during the day. The OP is right, the taping is the first week of December

We were there for last Christmas and it was the BEST!! It was everything they showed and soo much more The only difference were the stars that sing, dance, ect..
