Saw Steven Curtis Chapman last night

The headliner for last night's Faith & Family Night at the Riverbend Festival was Steven Curtis Chapman. He did an awesome job! Concert went until 11:30 PM. Geoff Moore from Geoff Moore and the Distance joined him on stage for a couple of songs.

SCC talked about what their family had been through over the last year with the loss of their little girl. You could tell there is still a lot of pain but they know where their hope lies and that one day the will be reunited with her. He said that he still has a lot of questions that he doesn't have the answer too and probably never will on this side of heaven.

He lead the crowd in several praise and worship songs. It was really good.

Both his sons are on tour with him, Caleb plays guitar and Will Franklin plays the drums.

I'm glad you had a great time. He was with Michael W Smith not to long ago. I wasn't able to go but I bet that would have been a great concert

Yes. That tour came through here as well but we didn't go as tickets were $$$. Riverbend has a Faith & Family night each year that is $5 for adults, kids are free.

I met him when I was a teenager and he was still with Geoff Moore andteh Distance. In fact I just found the program for that concert yesterday while going through some High School stuff.

He was an inspiration to me them and still is today.

Glad you enjoyed the concert! I enjoy his music ~ his never ending faith, strength and hope, amazes me, specially after their DD's heartbreaking accident.

I saw him the week before the accident and I also saw him a few months afterwards (with Michael W. Smith). I just love him he is so real and down to earth. At the 2nd concert he was so honest with his feelings and where the family was at but he still had so much hope and faith. It was absolutly fabulous. I honestly don't know if I could go thru what he did and have such faith that soon afterwards!

I also love, love, love that his boys tour with him. There were at the 1st concert but not the 2nd one. They both had gigs that night and SCC said "my boys ditched me to do their own thing". It was great!

I love SCC!! I always see him when he does the Candlelight Processional. I wish he would do Night of Joy again.
