Well, the title says it all.:goodvibes

We're going to DLR to see the premiere of the Electrical Parade tomorrow night. We plan on leaving right after school and should arrive about 3:30. The parade is showing at 9 p.m. (Previously the calendar had it at 8:45).

We saw it last night!

Looking forward to seeing my DNephew performing in it. :cloud9: I'll keep it a secret what part he is playing. Maybe you can spot him if you watch it.

Thinking of making a PS for dinner (darn WTC is closed :confused3) but if not we'll probably eat at the Jazz Kitchen at DTD. I mean, doesn't this look delish!

See ya there!

I hope you'll post some pictures! I can't wait to see it (in eleven days!!!)

Wait, I thought the electrical parade was going away forever???

I'm confuzzled???

We'll be seeing it in a few weeks on my son's third birthday before it goes away. It is one of my favorite childhood memories from DL!

I'll be at DLR tomorrow but can't decide between the fireworks or EP.

Yes, that's a tough decision.:confused3 You might be able to see both but you will have to hurry. If you watch EP near the start (by the entrance/exit) and then as soon as it's over hustle over to DL (beating the crowd) you might get into Main Street just in time to see fireworks.

ADDED-Sorry, you won't be able to do both. We watched EP last night from the very start (Playhouse Disney line) and just as the end of the parade passed us we heard the fireworks start. The EP was a few minutes late starting but even if it's on time you won't be able to see both.

Saw it! Loved it! Got to watch from preferred area (long story) Yeah!:cool1:

DNephew was great. As soon as I figure out how to post my video (in 4 parts) I will and post a link here.

The parks were crowded. We parked in the new Toy Story lot :scared1:

Had a nice meal at RB Jazz Express. (had to wait in line about 15-20 min)

Saw 6:30 CELEBRATE. Rode 3 rides. Got home about midnight Youtube and currently Part #1 is uploading. I will post links to my videos when the last one is completed. Or you can search Electrical Parade on Youtube.

I apologize in advance that the video isn't clearer. Hard to focus it in the dark but you hear the music really well.

ADDED-here are my links (I'm a little proud of myself that I actually got it to work!)

How do you get in the preferred area? is it like a F! type of thing? I'll probably go back for the EP, especially after watching the videos. Thanks for posting.

I opted for the fireworks. It was risky considering the breeze, but it worked out. I was able to get right into the hub at 8:50ish. It was a pretty busy day at DL, never made it over to DCA.

For the first time ever I made a complaint at Guest Services about something that really bugged me. I was very pleasant about it but let them know that I thought things could have been handled better. They offered to refund me my parking fee but since I have parking with my AP that wasn't an option. So they gave me 2 Readmission passes good for up to 6 people (not inc. TSM or EO) Then they asked me to write my name on a piece of paper and asked how many were in our group. We were 6. They said they were giving me the special parade viewing and all we needed to to was arrive at about 8:30. I was like in a dream! I told my DM later that I was jumping for joy inside :yay: (I know, I'm strange, but it just made me so happy!)

We actually arrived about 8:15 and were so excited to see benches to sit on! Yeah! While we were waiting we saw/heard many guests coming up and asking if they could sit there. The CM explained that it was "special" seating. I think all in all there were about 25-30 guest in the area when the parade started. It was so cool! I felt like royalty! My DNephew (who is in the parade) couldn't believe we got VIP seating.:confused3 Honestly, neither could we.

It really helped us with our time planning as I figured we would have to wait about an hour to see the parade, or longer. Actually, we could have gotten a good seat 40-45 min. before.

Once the parade was over we were able to hurry over to ToT and use our earlier FP to ride. Great location for getting to Hollywood Land.

Here's a few pix of the area. (Actually the Playhouse Disney waiting area during the day)

The only thing that was hard to deal with was just as the parade ended we heard the fireworks start. As we walked to ToT we could hear them but couldn't see them due to the buildings. I love the fireworks and it was so hard to hear them and not see them! ;)

Wow that is great. I hope they get the parking all worked out. I read your other post about it, have to be on the look out for the signs and get that sinking feeling. I appreciate the detailed report!
