Saw Blood Diamond last night...

I thought it was excellent...the acting was superb especially by all three main characters (DiCaprio and the man who played the fisherman who found the pink diamond and the american journalist). It was extremely gut wrenching and eye opening. Probably not the movie to see for some. But I highly recommend it.

And on a side note...we ate at canyon rock river grille in silver spring, MD before the movie...and it was DELICIOUS. I recommend eating there as well.

I took my mom to see this yesterday for her birthday--not exactly a happy movie but, hey, it was her choice. It was great--parts of it were so disturbing but important for people to know. I thought it was very well done--the parts with the child soldiers had me crying.

Leo DiCaprio has always seemed like a cute boy to me but wow! Has he grown up to be a good looking man or what?

I've always loved Leo. He lost his "pretty boy" looks and is aging very well, IMO.
