Saw "American Dreamz" This Weekend

I was a bit disappointed because our local reviewer gave it about 3 1/2 stars. It wasn't horrible, but not great. There were some cute parts.

On the other hand, I REALLY enjoyed the Previews. The new Vince Vaughn/Jennifer Aniston movie "The Breakup" looks verry funny. There was also a preview for "Talladega Nights: The Story of Ricky Bobby (or Billy???)" with Will Farrell. Looks to be a NASCAR spoof that has lots of potential for being funny, but, like Anchorman, I think this could possibly fall flat.

The preview for Flight 93 made me well up with tears so I don't know if I can see this one.

I saw it this weekend too. I really thought it was going to be more "biting" than it was, and for the first half hour or so, I was kind of disappointed by how silly it seemed to be.

However, once I got used to the idea that it was going to be more goofy than intelligent, I really really enjoyed it. It had some great moments!

I thought The Breakup previews were funny-- looks like a good one!

Yeah, it is a spoof. I agree with CheshireVal in that I thought it was going to much more biting and sarcastic. It was definitely just kind of "silly".
