Saw a flight going east

I had just told the kids to look up in the sky that hopefully this would be the last time they'd see "nothing" in the sky. No clouds, no planes, not even birds, just beautiful blue skies. It was strange. Then, as I was mowing, I looked up around 6pm, I think, and saw a flight headed east, just north of Indy. Only one I saw.

Do you think it was military? Here in the Detroit area fighter jets have been on patrol since yesterday. I found it comforting to see them up there but some found it disturbing. I'm not sure we as a nation have come to grips with what has happened to us and how our country may change.

Some flights have started back, but only a few, and they've had to get permission from the powers that be. I know that the evening of the attack, a plane fro Oklahoma flew 700 units of blood to NYC, but they had to get permission from Washington.

I was sitting on my front porch just before going to bed and saw a very large plane fly overhead. I'm 99% sure it was a military C-5 as we do have a large Army base here, but I did think to myself.... "Are you supposed to be up there?"

I work for a large defense contractor, (we have our own runway),next to BWI(Baltimore-Washington International), and it's been eerily quiet here. It's around 12:15pm at the time of this post. When I drive by the airport, there's more planes sitting on the tarmac than I've ever seen in one place. I'm hoping to hear the roar of jet engines soon....

I just heard another commercial jet as I was reading this. I ran outside to see it (at noon on Thursday). It just took off from Indy, obviously. It's so strange how you get used to hearing things like the airplanes, then we they are gone, you notice the eerie silent. Then, it's back and your alarmed. My friend in TX said they heard a private plane yesterday and ran out to see it. He said within seconds two F16 were by it's side. Don't know what happened after that.

Also, did you see the President this morning when he said "I'm a loving man..."? He was in tears, although they didn't run down his face. Mine did though. I was really moved by this man. He is clearly upset. It's just you don't usually see it with the presidents.

I heard that there were some red cross flights transporting blood and medical supplies.
