Savor the Savanna: Worth the money?

Does anyone know if there is an AP discount?
yes.

I would totally go. I had a great time last week on it. Got up close with the giraffes. The zookeeper came and chatted with us and answered all our questions. I really enjoyed it!!426228

Anyone know how long the tour is? Is the food provided enough for a meal, or just a heavy snack?
Has anyone done this recently? I’m trying to decide if it is honeymoon worthy!
what kinda food was offered?
Ok - I went last week. I thought it was plenty of food for dinner. We had citrus marinated shrimp, African spiced jerky, a couscous salad with fruit and veggies in it, prosciutto, hummus and pita bread, cheeses and fruit and spiced nuts and a chutney. Then there was a strawberry cake, a smores dessert and magic cookie bars for dessert. You could eat as much as you wanted. And wine, beer and POG juice.

Is the price worth it if oyu dont eat anything?
I don't know that I would do that. Part of the money does go to a conservation fund you get to choose at the end so if that is important to you then maybe

Why wouldn’t you eat anything? The food was quite good, and I’m kind of picky.
I eat like a 4 yr old but my husband would eat all of it. If the price is worth it for the experience minus the food that's all I was wondering.
