My understanding is that if you have an AP, you can then buy discounted park tickets? I have to purchase (6) 1 day-park to park tickets for my family and the cost will be crazy...over $800 for one day! I was hoping that Costco had the same 3 day park to park (non expiring for ?3 years) but their new ticket offering is just plain crazy! Does anyone know how much of a discount it is using the AP to purchase the tickets?

15% off multiple day tickets and 10% off single day tickets.

Thanks Metro!
Do you know if the cheapest AP gives this benefit or do you have to upgrade to a more expensive one?
You can purchase multiple day tickets with the Power Pass but the discount is only 10% and there's no discount for single day tickets.

My family of 4 is going to Universal in October. Do I have to pick up my annual pass in person at UO before I can use it to buy the rest of the family's tickets?

After I have the annual pass, can I order the tickets in advance for later use? We go to Universal the same week every year, so if I could get two year's worth of discount tickets, it will certainly be worth it.

If picking up in person, you would need to activate your AP before you can purchase tickets at the AP discounts. You can order via phone but I'm not sure about online since your pass won't be activated.

You can order tickets and not pick them up using electronic kiosk or Will Call pick up but there is a limit as to how long the tickets stay in the system. I want to say it's something like 6-7 months but not really sure. You could call Guest Services and see what would be the best and easiest thing to do.
