I just went through this verification process and I remember in the small print that it said if you only receive one deposit to call the number listed and they will verify it over the phone.

I just opened my account. I would like to send a referral to my sister, but how do I do this?

Log into your account.

At the bottom of each page there is a dark blue band. In the middle of that band is a link that reads "Earn $$$ Refer a Friend". Click on it.

Click on the dark blue "Refer Now" button next to the Orange Savings Account. This will take you to the referral page.

Click the "Add New Savings Referral" button. From here, you can enter the First & Last Name of the person you're referring. You also enter their email address. There is also a box to enter a personal message to that person. When you're finished, click the dark blue "Continue" button.

That's it! An email will be sent to your referral which will appear to come from you but will actually be from ING. The bonus referral link will be in it. You will get credit for their sign up as soon as they complete the process but you won't be able to touch the bonus money for 30 days.

I see from posts below that you have had a few PM'S and that's great for you and the person who's referral you use but, this form of asking for a referral is frustrating for the ones who don't get picked so, I ask anyone who needs or wants a referral to email someone on the board privately and ask if they have any left and if they can send you one, most of us still have plenty all you have to do is pick a name and send them an email ( or PM)with your full name and email address and they'll get it to you asap. Thank You

Happylawyer pm'd me and I just got home form work and checked my pm mail and read it...spent a good 20 mins trying to respond to the pm explaining ING accounts, and then I come to this thread because I subscribe to it and I see that my 20 minutes may have been in vain because Happy has asked and received pms from two other people after I received the pm but before I could respond back....

By rights, no soliciting of ANY kind is permitted on the Budget Board. Asking people to use you for a referral and asking others to send you a referral is not allowed.
So if you are interested in receiving a link to open an ING account with a referral, please PM or e-mail someone who already has an account. There is this running thread on this Board and this thread on the Rewards Board to give you an idea who has an ING account.
This is the fairest way that we can think of. Please, let's keep these threads open by following these requests.

I've had an account for several months now and I'm quite pleased with the service. I've never had a problem and do feel they're trustworthy. This is a great way to stash small sums of money and not have it esten up by transaction fees.

to sign up. I have enjoyed starting and trying to maintain this thread and am glad that is is so helpful to everyone

Yes, it does seem like the ING savers are turning into a club of sorts! I've had great luck with mine(ours) accounts. With referrals and sign on bonuses alone I made over $500. Not bad for a little time. When I first read about this I thought it was a scam of some sort, but it isn't. If anyone has questions/concerns they should go directly to their website www.ingdirect.com. I can also answer any questions you may have concerning the bonus program, just pm me. A great way to save for Disney--or whatever your heart desires!

Thanks to my referer for their quick response. I am so excited. My husband, daughter and I are going to WDW and USF in June with my sister, bil, and their kids and between all of us joining will end up with $235 toward our rooms. Here's hoping we have it in time!

Does anyone know how long ING Direct has been around? I have only heard of it this year. I've had my account now for 3 months or so and I really like it. I'f I'd known before, I'd probably already have our money for our July trip.
