I just signed up for this account. It is my understanding that I have 60 days to verify my checking account that is linked and this is done by verifying two small deposits. Well, they deducted my deposit from my checking to their account and deposited one small amount. I've been checking everyday this week and nothing new has been deposited????

What should I do?

I just looked on the website and it states that two small deposits iwll be made. I would call and speak to a representative. I have the phone number if you need it, send me a pm if you need it because I don't know if I can post it here.

Did you get a referral from someoneto open your account that deposits an extra $25into your account? You may try asking who referred you

I think I would call & ask. Both of my deposits were done on the same day.

mine were also done together totaling like a nickel maybe 2-3 business days after I signed up. make sure your bank didn't add them together so maybe call them as well to verify that also. I hope you get it straightened out!!

I never had to verify my account that way. I opened it with a single $1 deposit and set it up with regular deposits. I never had to watch my checking account for small deposits by ING. Maybe this is something new. I've had my account since November.

and alot of people who still have referrals won't be able to get rid of them so, to be fair please just ask someone privately, it will save alot of animosity. Thanks.

mckim - check the Rewards Program boards. There is a thread that talks all about it stickied towards the top of the page.

Again, we are not allowed to solicit referrals on the boards but there are several members there who would be happy to send out a referral to anyone who would like to join so just pick someone who is listed in that thread and PM them. Everyone gets 25 referrals so I am sure whoever you pick will have some left.

No, there is no where to list that you have referrals and it is against protocol, that's why I ask that if someone needs a referral they contact someone off the board to avoid hostility towards the people who are claiming the "I need a referral" posts
most of us still have referrals and I am hoping everyone can get a chance to give out a referral.

Yes, it is against protocol here on the board to speak about referrals and who has what here on the budget board.

I can answer many I** questions, I have been an account holder for over a year!

The depostis are done quickly, the interest rate is decent.

Contrary to popular belief, there are two branches, called I** Cafe. One is in Philadelphia, and another in NYC. The one in Philadelphia has wonderful customer service people. (DH has been in there)

Customer service is first rate there.
